Do you ever have days when you find that your whole business isn’t moving as fast as you would like it too? Are those days the days where you just want to bury your head and forget about the whole damn thing in the first place! Hey it happens to the best of us and will happen more than once within our lifetime I can guarantee that.
It’s that deflated feeling to the point where you may just throw in the towel, it is a serious test of your inner strength and your ability to carry on!

Don’t Do it Man! Hold That Towel!

You will regret every minute of it and you will ask yourself in the future should I have done it? Then try to justify your actions to make yourself feel better. I wonder where I would be today if I had given up? Trust me when I say if you give up, then you will never know how successful you can be. The hardest part of your business is getting it started from the ground up.

The truth is there is always a solution to the problems you face if you just seek out the answers. Here are a few examples of excuses we have all heard and most likely used in the past:

• I can’t afford it
• I don’t know how to do it
• I don’t have the time
• I don’t know how to start

The list goes on and on, but let’s take a look at these points in a little more detail and see what we can do to eliminate them.

1, I don’t know how to start – There is a multitude of information out there readily available for free which can start you on the right track. Take blogging for example you can acquire a free blog from Word Press, also a free template to get you started. All you need is a PC it costs nothing to write content and monetize your blog!

Nearly every blog you come across has a free download of some kind which you can use to help you. Free traffic guides, free blog guides, free marketing guides. All of these will get you on the right track in one way or another and offer free advice to move your business forward.

2, I don’t have the time – I know of at least three guys who work all day, look after their children and still find time to post on their blogs and create products! It’s the time you make for yourself to achieve a target that counts. Forget about the TV and structure a little time for you to prioritise your workload and achieve that target. Yeah it may be slower but you are moving in the right direction by taking action.

3, I don’t know how to do it – There is a learning curve for all new activities in the beginning! I never knew how to build a website until I learned. I never knew how to create an eBook until I found out exactly what to do. It’s called building your business knowledge! Yeah it takes time but it’s all worth the effort. You will find ton’s of tutorials and free help on forums, Youtube and blogs to enhance your knowledge. Do you think the likes of Frank Kern, Naomi Dunford and John T stopped thinking and gave up because they never knew how to build their business?

4, I can’t afford it – Possibly the one and only reason which is legitimate here in this list but “and there is always a but” why are you trying to earn an online income in the first place? More income, Better Lifestyle, Financial Freedom the list goes on and it just so happens you are in one of the only businesses in the world you can start with only a PC and an internet connection and very little capital to speak of. You have all seen the video tutorials, the rags to riches stories and the truth is most of us started with nothing in the first place anyway so why worry

Your success is your responsibility and it’s your choice to take action and do something about it. The word of the day is DEDICATION! If you are committed to your business you will prevail but it takes dedication to create success.

Looking to the Future

I dedicate a lot of my time to marketing, product creation and research. I immerse myself in my business to get results. This will assure my future business success and help me overcome any obstacles. If you stay positive about your business and vision your triumphs then you will prevail and secure the future of your online business. Ignore the words Don’t and Can’t and concentrate on the words Can and Will and your reward will come in time.

Success for 99% of people does not just happen overnight, you may get a few in the minority who achieve greatness quick on the back of some A list marketer’s promo. But for the majority its plain old hard work with an outlook to the future, with structure and a game plan which will help you achieve this goal.

Help Yourself NOW

If there is one thing I find I do a lot of is read and research. Less reading more action I am told by my peers and mentors “I also keep telling myself the same thing”. You see one of my biggest fears is not being able to be the best I can be, not being able to write the best blog post, or create the best eBook.

The truth is if I was the best blog writer I would have the best blog, if I was the best eBook writer I would have the best eBooks. If I was the best at product creation I would have the best products (you get the picture). To be honest I’m not the best, if I was I would be a millionaire and I’m not one of those yet either But I never give up and I will succeed, I have the drive to accomplish what I set out to do and I know this attitude will give me the outcome that I am looking for.

Not enough action and too much of the other is common. It’s time to grab the bull by the horns and get up to your neck in it. Stop surfing the net, reading, researching, watching TV, playing games and start making your ideas and dreams a reality. You can’t build your business by talking about it now can you?

A Little Structure Never Hurt

You can help yourself by adding structure to your week. Create a schedule of your week and the items you need to do. Take Monday for example my schedule was:

1, write articles and post them on articles sites
2, read and comment on blogs
3, Product development
4, research

Now all these will take around 3 – 4 hours sometimes more sometimes less, but you can make them as long or short as you like. It’s your choice ‘JUST DO SOMETHING’ however large or small it’s a step forward. Hell it’s only 4 things on a list how hard is that?

If you are stuck for ideas create mind maps and spray diagrams to help you break the ideas down into one main idea which you can focus and use as your new project (Google search for Mind Map Tools to help). Say you are stuck for an eBook you want to create but not sure what to write about. Get your ideas down on paper and brain storm it, do your research and plan out your steps to action. Then TAKE ACTION!

If you remember to be yourself and never give up your rewards will come and when the time comes you will be glad you never threw in the towel.

Marketing Through My Eyes

Isn’t it amazing how we can find so many other activities to occupy our time, activities that will not help us to start, or to improve our online business? We have to give ourselves a swift kick sometimes. Why is that? Surely we want to succeed at Internet marketing, but too many times we think the latest shiny product from our favorite marketing guru is going to magically set us on that road to financial freedom. Maybe if we just put off that hard work for now and wait for the next shiny toy . . .

Nope! That approach is not going to work. The only approach that will make a difference in what you are doing now and what you will be doing a year from now is good old hard work. Start your online business, and then work at it every day, and you’ll see progress.

We all encounter these same hurdles when we start out. I wrote Starting a Practical Online Business to help you make the right choices when you start out and to help you avoid problems now and in the future . . .

What you have just read I wrote six days ago. Yup. I let other things get in the way again — one of our horses had a hoof abscess, one of our dogs got sick, I had a medical procedure, I was watching reruns of “Boston Legal” — the list of excuses goes on and on, but in reality, I had plenty of time to write this post if I’d just sat down and done it.

We are our own worst enemies when it comes to getting our businesses up and running and then improving on them. No one is holding us back — that is, no one but ourselves.

So finally start your online business, or if you already have one, write that blog entry, go find some good eBooks and reports to send to your list, finish the website you started to promote that ClickBank product, write a few more pages in your next eBook. Get your act together!

I just had to get this post out to you as soon as I could!

You see, yesterday, I was sitting in the garden, having a short break from things, when it suddenly hit me. I realised that something that was absolutely essential for my online success, had taken place almost automatically. I wanted you to share this, because when you become aware of it yourself, it can’t fail to also help you to make significant progress.

I’ve now been following the coaching program of my mentor – Alex Jeffreys for about three weeks now – in parallel to learning some very useful techniques with yours truly – John Thornhill. I’ve learnt some key principles that are crucially important to my (and your) online success.

Now, it’s a simple fact that my mentor has been highly motivating, asking me to ‘take action’, using the statement; “don’t get it right, just get it going”; which of course is correct. If you needed proof, just take a look at what I’ve done in those three weeks.

I’ve put my own fully functioning blog on line, involving domain names, hosting, WordPress themes, email setups, plugins etc., and I’ve uploaded a website that links to my free list building report, involving more domain names, squeeze page editing, opt-in forms, Aweber, uploading files to my website etc – and believe me, that’s only the half of it.

Now, the last thing I’m trying to do here is put you off or scare you in any way – remember, I’m here to share my experience with you and to help you succeed.

But – and this is an important ‘but’ – if the thought of actually taking action and getting really involved, does cause you negative thoughts and a dread of getting started, then you’re almost certainly not currently in the correct frame of mind.

Here’s a very famous statement from one of the first mass producers of automobiles in America, which you’ve probably seen before but nevertheless, you’ll see is extremely powerful and very true:

“If you think you can, or think you can’t, you are always right” Henry Ford.

Just contemplate this statement for a moment and you will see exactly where I’m coming from and what I’m trying to help you with.

What epitomises that statement more than anything else I think, is this true story of Henry Ford’s approach to a particular problem that he was determined to solve.

Henry Ford manufactured the first V-8 car engine. But it took Determination, Vision, Persistence and an absolute and unwavering Belief (amongst other things).

Henry Ford had a team of designers and engineers, who he instructed to design and build a V-8 engine. Right from the start, this team told Henry that it was impossible to cast an eight cylinder engine block in one piece.

Nevertheless, Henry paid their salaries and instructed them not to worry about it, but just to get on and produce it anyway.

Each time Henry met with his team, he was met with the same old excuses, but he simply told them to stay on the job until they succeeded, no matter how long it took. Well, the rest is history, because the secret (if there was one) of producing an eight cylinder engine was discovered by Ford’s team.

The message to take from this is that Ford succeeded because his Desire, his Determination and his Belief were unwavering. Even in the face of the extreme negativity of his design team, right from the outset.

They only achieved what they did, because eventually, Ford’s determination and belief that this engine will be produced, finally eradicated their own negative thoughts. They at some stage must have also started to believe that success was achievable. They would have certainly started to make small gains, taking definite steps towards their ultimate goal, gradually being more and more aware that success wasn’t far away.

I’m sure by now, you’ve got the main message that I’ve been trying to get across to you – right?

Your mind, your thoughts, your outlook and your overall approach to your main goals is crucial to your ultimate success. Now I’ve only just scratched the surface here when it comes to the incredible power of your mind and how you can make real progress with the right attitude and approach.

If you’re really serious about your online marketing success (or with anything that you want to succeed in), why not give yourself the best possible start you could.

By taking the right approach to understanding your current situation, you can effectively evaluate exactly where you currently are in your thinking – this is CRUCIAL by the way. Once you have this knowledge, you can then take some definite, targeted action to empower your own mind to deliver you the success you desire.

If your email inbox is anything like mine, you will have noticed the huge change within internet marketing circles. I receive so many communications showing me how I can make a big difference to my business by doing social bookmarking through the growing number of social web 2.0 sites. Though it is very easy to do, from questions I get asked from my subscribers, not everybody is doing it.

Questions vary from “how do I do it?” to “which ones should I target?”. How do I do it is easy, register with the site which usually takes under a minute.

Which sites you bookmark to is a matter of choice, but I recommend the following ones:

I would urge anybody who is trying to establish any kind of business online to start using the social bookmarking and social networking sites as soon as possible. To me it is a no brainer, free exposure to your site or affiliate product, free backlinks and the most important of all, you can do it over and over again.

One of the key things with doing social bookmarking to me is the boredom factor. Nobody wants to sit at their computer for hours on end doing this, so for most people it just goes on their ‘to do’ list!

To help matters I’ve created a very easy to use bookmarking tool that is free to download for all John’s visitors. The tool is setup to post to over 60 sites, and has a setup page for new accounts. It isn’t fully automated, and to be honest some of the so called automated tools available, just don’t do the job properly. It takes no more than half an hour to bookmark at least 30 entries (more when you get used to doing it), and that will make a real difference to your page ranking and the number of visitors you get.

Obviously there is far more to effective social bookmarking, than just placing an entry on these sites. Effective tags are a must. Also there is cross linking with other tagged sites that the search engines like to see. Just simple tagging of your blog entries is important, then using those same tags as your bookmarks(many people don’t even use the tags option on their blog entries – big mistake!). Make sure you vary your description, as once again the search engines don’t like seeing a whole flood of new bookmarks with the same content. Remember too, that somebody will be looking at your bookmark, so try and put some sort of personality into it.

Free Monthly Websites, in my opinion is one of those programs you either know what to do with or you don’t. I will now show you how you can get the most of it and why Free Monthly Websites is such great tool which can earn you an extra income stream to your business for a long time to come.

The Three main categories we need to concentrate on here are:

1, Selling eBooks

2, Writing articles

3, Affiliate promotions

When you first login and download your website follow the tutorials which is very easy to do and eventually get your website onto your webspace. You are presented with a very nice well designed Adsense website.

What can you do with this free website? Well to be honest the free website has duplicate content so you can rule out getting to the top of the search engine rankings, the premier websites are a different kettle of fish all together but I will get to those in a moment.

Take option 1 above ‘Selling eBooks’ if you sell eBooks especially PLR (private Label Content) conversions, you will find Free Monthly Websites have a rather large verity of websites that correspond with a lot of the PLR out there (if you are a premier member you get a bonus PLR eBook). All you need to do is upload your eBook to a convenient location on your webspace and place a few corresponding links inside your PLR eBook for example:

I have a weight loss eBook and a small paragraph saying “there are 100’s ways to lose weight which can be found in various forms from Books to television to fitness programs bla bla bla” you could not take this small paragraph and insert your Free Monthly Websites website link in a prime location for instance “there are 100’s ways to lose weight which can be found in various forms from Books to television to fitness programs the best resource I found is at www.yourfreemonthlywebsites.com/fitness_website”

Now imagine you done this to all your eBooks! Simply take a little time upload your Free Monthly Websites website to your webspace then reopen your PLR eBooks and insert the relevant hyperlink which corresponds to your website and there you have it. For about 2 hours work you have created an income stream for life. Now imagine you have 50 PLR eBooks doing the rounds on eBay or your blog. Your AdSense revenue is going to creep up and up until you are earning a very respectable income. It’s a simple case of wash rinse repeat.

Option number 2 is even easier. I know most of you will at some point, or do write articles and submit them to relevant article directories. Well why not try writing an article about one of the subjects related to Free Monthly Websites? Upload your website to a location on your webspace, place the link in your article and there you have it, submit to article directories like:

Not only can you use the eBooks and articles in the ways I have explained, you can key word optimize your website for the search engines, change the content and make your sites as original as you like. In other words you have full edit rights. So if you imagine directing a visitor to your Premier Website via an eBook or article, they will find a fully edited site with offers and affiliate links promotions, and even an Aweber signup box

(which you can integrate with a little HTML knowledge)

which in turn will create more revenue and more subscribers for you.

My recommendations are if you have a few hours to spare get started with this and you will soon see a Google AdSense income. If you use the Premier Websites, you can place affiliate banners, Clickbank affiliate links and Aweber signup box on your site.
